The currency identity

Pattaya uses the Thai baht because it uses Thailand's official national currency. The supported international code is THB, and the supported currency symbol is ฿.

These are three ways of identifying the same currency. This answer does not assign a separate Pattaya currency or a visitor-only unit.

Understand baht and satang

One baht is divided into 100 satang. That subdivision is part of the official currency definition rather than a conversion into another currency.
