Before you go
Check
- Confirm who will make the TM30 filing and when they expect to submit it.
- Ask what personal details are required and how submission evidence will be shared.
Identify the responsible accommodation party
Immigration Bureau guidance names the house owner, head of household, landlord or hotel manager who accommodates a foreign national as the Section 38 notification party. Ask the host which of those roles applies to the stay and who will operate the filing process.
Do not replace that question with the assumption that the foreign guest always has the statutory filing duty. A guest may supply information or ask for evidence, but the official wording assigns responsibility to the accommodation side. If the host gives a different explanation, ask for the current official basis.
Ask about timing before arrival
The official system states a 24-hour notification deadline to the competent immigration authority. Before the stay starts, ask when the host plans to file, whether arrival timing affects the process and what they need from the guest to avoid a preventable delay.
Keep the answer tied to the exact accommodation and stay. A host's general statement that they “do TM30” does not show when a particular arrival will be entered, and a booking platform receipt is not notification evidence from Immigration.
Provide only the data the process needs
The TM30 process page shows accommodation and foreign-national information used for notification. Ask the host for a clear list and a secure way to provide it. Check names, travel-document details, arrival information and the accommodation record for obvious mismatches before submission.
This answer does not authorize a host to request unrelated information or prescribe how personal data must be transmitted. It identifies the official process fields as the reason for the request. If the requested data seems broader, ask which official field or separate obligation requires it.
Request and retain submission evidence
Ask how the host will provide the notification result or exported evidence after filing. Keep it with the booking or lease details and check that it refers to the correct guest and accommodation. A promise to file later is not the same as a completed submission record.
The official system explains the process but does not establish that any named Pattaya host is compliant. If the host cannot identify the filer, timing or proof, the status remains unresolved. Use current Immigration Bureau guidance or appropriately qualified advice for an individual immigration consequence.
